Description
The Archives in Absentia (AIA) project comprises artwork created by three artists—Amerah Saleh, Bengy Speers, and Gemma Lees—in collaboration with Arts & Homelessness International and LSE Library. Drawing on the Library’s archives and special collections, these co-produced pieces explore homelessness through both personal and historical perspectives. The collection also includes photographs from workshops and the showcase, project reports, and related documentation.
The AIA collection is arranged into four series: Project Documentation and three artist-specific series for Amerah Saleh, Bengy Speers, and Gemma Lees. It contains a variety of born-digital materials, including reports, magazines, booklets, documents, PowerPoint presentations, posters, photographs, and a digitised sketchbook. Each artist’s series holds files specific to their contributions.
